I honestly still don't know if it was the right choice.
So I made the choice to do Kylo because it WILL make him hit a bit harder and ramp more quickly. But ultimately, they all do what I need them to do in their current form. I thought about pushing GG for fleet like I did GK, I thought about Daka for TW/GAC, I thought about Vader. So what made me choose to upgrade Kylo? I don't know really. SEE just won't make any difference in his current state. Maybe it makes Luke a tad more tanky, but honestly I have two r8 JML in my squad arena and I beat them just as easily with my SEE team as before they got upgraded, so I don't see any change. For JML and SEE, I just don't see it making any difference for those guys. It's not going to get me more banners in GAC or TW on offense. I look at what I wish he would do better now and that is primarily keeping more of his teammates alive. It isn't going to change anything really. It would make her protection up slightly better maybe, but ultimately the same teams will be able to beat her in the same way, even without upgrading anything themselves. It's not going to whirlwind anyone harder or make her ultimate more devastating. And honestly for Rey, she would be a bit more tanky, but she's not a primary damager. The primary thing I considered when thinking about pushing any of my three GL's was 'what do I gain?'. Which is why I waffled on pushing SLKR for so long. I think it's the 'easiest' choice and most people will take it, but I don't think it makes a ton of sense. My bet is that MOST people will relic 8 their GL's first even though I don't think that's the wisest choice. If you have ever gone Nego vs Nego, you know what a pain in the ass it can be to have to rely on RNG to win you the coin flip to get your cap ship abilities first. Relic 8 actually adds +2 speed to negotiator, which is a big deal in fleet. The deciding factor for me though was fleet. He's a tank for my Padme team in TW/GAC and I use him with Rey in arena at times, so he's useful to have at the highest gear. I sat on the mats for 3 days trying to decide which way to go. I really hemmed and hawed on pushing SLKR up honestly. I opted to push SLKR and General Kenobi up to relic 8. I am an occasional spender, so I did buy all three of the relic 8 packs that were available and I also ranked top 5 in the Rancor raid last month, so I was able to push two characters to relic 8 this week. I know only a handful of us are even at the point where we can acquire relic 8 mats through the new Rancor raid, but I thought it might be a good place for a discussion on which characters will benefit most.
